TBILISI, GEORGIA – A 27-year-old nurse has died 1 day after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Megi Bakradze got her shot on March 18th. She immediately went into an anaphylactic shock and was transported to First University Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University. She died later that day. Her sudden death is now under investigation.

Bakradze told Georgian news outlet TV9 that the COVID-19 vaccines are necessary and that everyone needs to get them.
Three employees who administered the shot at Imedi Hospital were charged by the Prosecutor’s Office for providing false information about the death of the 27-year-old. The doctors accused face two to six years if convicted.
