MARCO DE CANAVESES, PORTUGAL – A 48-year-old professional runner has died 2 days after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Marílio Costa Leite disappeared on Sunday, July 18th, during a cross-country trail in Marco de Canaveses. He was found dead 2 days later. His family says that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine he received 2 days before the race may have left him “weakened and disoriented”.
Marílio was a professional long-distance, cross-country runner. He finished his last race about a month ago where he ran for two days, in which he covered more than 30 kilometers/18.6 miles.
