Comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan said last week that his sold-out April show in Canada is unlikely to take place because of a COVID vaccine mandate.

Since then, Ticketmaster has confirmed that the show has been canceled, noting that all tickets will be refunded without purchasers needing to take any action.

Joe Rogan is a comedian and the host of the most-watched podcast in the world

Rogan’s show was scheduled to take place on April 20th, 2022 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver. However, the owners of Canucks Sports & Entertainment released a statement on December 17th announcing new limits on the event center’s capacity due to regulations issued by the government of British Colombia.

“As per the announcement today by the Province of BC and the Provincial Health Officer, capacities at Rodgers Arena and Abbotsford Centre will be reduced to 50 percent as of Monday, December 20.”

To enter the arena, all staff, guests and employees must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Unvaccinated people, as well as those who are partially vaccinated, will be denied entry.

Rogan, who has natural immunity for the virus after catching COVID-19 in September and fully recovering, is unvaccinated, which would mean he would not be allowed to attend his own show.

On December 24th, Rogan announced on his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘, that the show in Canada will most likely be canceled due to the COVID vaccine mandate:
