ACRE, BRAZIL – The first indigenous person in Brazil to get the COVID-19 vaccine has died. Fernando Katukina received his shot during a specialized event to promote COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among indigenous people. He died 9 days later on February 1st as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest.
