CHEONGJU, SOUTH KOREA – Families of victims of the COVID-19 vaccine gathered outside a vaccination center and blocked the car of the head of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KDCA) Jeong Eun-Kyung during her visit to Hana Hospital in Cheongju today. The bereaved families screamed and attacked the car Eun-Kyung was in, forcing her to get out and talk to the families of the victims.

Eun-Kyung visited Hana Hospital today to receive a booster shot of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. While the director was getting her shot, family members gathered on the road in front of the hospital protesting with pictures of their family members who’ve died as a result of the jab, demanding answers.
In a heartbreaking scene moments later, distraught relatives gathered around Eun-Kyung’s car, some kneeling in the road while holding pictures of their dead loved ones while others banged on her car and yelling in obvious distress. One bereaved family member shouted “save my daughter” and “apologize” before bursting into tears.

Another family member of a victim told a police officer at the protest:
“My daughter is dead and I am not even allowed to protest about it.”

The commotion lasted about 10 minutes and then ended with the director getting out of the vehicle and talking with the families. The director said:
“Once again, I offer my deepest condolences
I will prepare an opportunity to meet with the families of the victims.”
After the brief conversation, Eun-Kyung bowed her head several times before leaving the scene.
